A Finnish digital passport photo must be exactly 500 × 653 pixels, JPEG and no larger than 250 KB. OmaPassikuva crops only source pixels, resizes without stretching, removes metadata and creates a new JPG.

The physical 36 × 47 mm proportion corresponds to 500 × 653 pixels in the electronic file. For online submission, Police-specified pixels and file size matter rather than the DPI tag.
Why resizing alone is not enough
Head size, centre and upper/lower spacing must also match the guide. Do not stretch the photo or invent missing background with AI or padding.
